By Default, Windows 8 does not display the Delete Confirmation dialog when user delete any files. To enable this feature right click on the Recycle bin and tap Properties.
Check the option Display delete confirmation dialog which can be found at the bottom Recycle Bin Properties.
Now the delete confirmation dialog box will appear whenever you delete files.
