Do you miss the Recent Items option that is in Windows XP? There is Recent Item in Windows 7. However, it is not enabling by default, you have to enable it by yourself.
To enable it, right click on the start menu and select Properties. When the start menu properties dialog come out, click on the Start Menu tab and go to Customize option.
In the Customize menu, scroll until you find the option Recent Items and checked the check box.
To apply the new setting, click on OK and Apply the setting. Now click on the start menu and you will find the Recent Items menu just like in Windows XP.
