Record-breaking speeds have been achieved during the tests of 5G Connection. Researchers at the University of Surrey’s 5G Innovation Centre (5GIC) managed speeds of one Terabyte per second (Tbps).”The speed is more than 65,000 times faster than average 4G download speeds”, BBC News reported. New 5G technology lets you download over 30 movies in one second; 65,000 times faster than average 4G download speeds.
Last year i.e. 2014 Samsung tested a connection that reached speeds as high as 7.5 gigabits, but the latest test is beyond that. The team managed to reach 1Tbps in a controlled laboratory environment over a distance of 100 meters. This 5G technology will be available to the public by 2020.
